Campagnola Emilia, Signoressa di Trevignano, 12 march 2012
C.M.E. s.r.l. and Della Toffola S.p.A. have reached a cooperative agreement that will enable the two companies to achieve industrial and commercial synergies.
The trade names of both the companies, which have been operating successfully for many decades, are among the best known on the winemaking machinery and systems market.
C.M.E. s.r.l. is based in Campagnola Emilia (RE) and in 2012 it celebrates 45 years of activity, although in actual fact it was first established under the name of C.A.M.C.E right after the end of World War II. Up until today it has worked almost exclusively for the winemaking machinery market, becoming famous for its ability to design and manufacture wine processing systems, and for the amply acknowledged quality and reliability of its huge range of pumps for use in the winemaking sector.
Della Toffola S.p.A. has its head office in Signoressa di Trevignano (TV), and 2011 was the year in which it celebrated its 50th birthday. In addition to Della Toffola SpA, the Della Toffola Group controls other businesses in Italy, such as Sirio Aliberti srl, OMB srl, DT Separtech srl, Ave Technologies srl, Gimar srl and Priamo Food Technologies srl, as well as companies located in France, Spain, Argentina, Chile, Australia and the USA. The Group is active in a variety of industrial sectors, including wine and beverages, bottling, packaging and waste water treatment.
C.M.E. s.r.l. is still owned by the families that founded the original enterprise, and has decided to accept the Della Toffola Group among its partners because it is convinced that this cooperation can provide the drive it needs to deal with a winemaking market that is becoming increasingly globalised and begin to branch out into other sectors too.
The agreement will enable the Della Toffola Group to expand its range of machines and systems, which spans the whole winemaking sector, from grape sorting right up to wine bottling.
Proof of the validity of the agreement and of the strategy deriving from it lies in the fact that Angelo Sissa, currently general manager of C.M.E., has also opted to become a company partner.
